30- minute lesson     $27.50

45-minute lesson      $41.25

INVOICING​

Students will be given schedule of monthly lessons for year upon registration.  Invoices will be emailed on a monthly basis and will be due within 5 days of receipt.  Payments can be e-transfered or payable with cheque.

YEARLY REGISTRATION FEE

A non-refundable registration fee of $30.00 must accompany each student's registration each year.  This fee covers lesson time confirmation, photocopy fees, music lesson assignment binder, and participation in student practice incentives as well as recital fees.  This fee will be invoiced when your lesson time and registration has been confirmed.  Each year thereafter the registration fee will be invoiced July 1 of each year.

EQUIPMENT FOR PRACTICING

Students are required to have a piano/keyboard at home for practicing.  The minimum size of keyboard required is 61 keys and must be in working order.  Students who do not have adequate instruments for practicing will be unable to practice correctly which will slow student's progress in their studies.

LESSON SUPPLIES

Students are required to purchase their books as they are required.  Books can be purchased directly through your music teacher as needed.

 

PRACTICING AND HOMEWORK

Practicing piano should be a fun experience.  Encourage your child to sit at the piano for a few minutes every day in the beginning.  As their lessons progress, practice time will gradually increase.  Music Theory is also provided during lessons and there will be homework provided as well.   Any assigned homework is expected to be completed for the next lesson.  Practicing regularly will allow students to reinforce what they have been learning and progress through their studies with more confidence.

RECITALS

There will be a year-end recital where students will perform prepared selections for their family and friends.  Recital dates will be determined at a later date and parents will be notified with ample time to make arrangements to attend.

 

LESSON DURATION

Students are asked to arrive 5 minutes prior to lesson time so that they are ready to begin at their scheduled time.  Students who arrive late to lessons will have a shorter lesson for that week.  

 

MISSED LESSON POLICY

Lessons fees are not refunded due to absence.  Your weekly lesson fee reserves you a weekly time slot for the entire school year.  Make-up lessons are based on the availability of the teacher’s schedule and are not guaranteed.  If a make-up lesson is not available, missed lessons are not refunded due to absence.  If I must cancel a lesson and am not able to reschedule it, there will be a refund for that lesson.

 

 

LESSON TERMINATION

Students may choose to discontinue lessons at anytime.  Please note refund policy below.

REFUND POLICY

Students wishing to withdraw from lessons must give four (4) weeks notice or a cancellation fee of $80.00 will be charged.

 

ELECTRONIC DEVICES

Any and all electronic devices must be turned off before entering the piano studio.  Failure to comply with this rule may result in termination of lessons.

PHOTO AND VIDEO RELEASE

Photos and videos of students may be taken to use on my website and other locations including Facebook and Instagram.  If you wish to exempt your child’s imagery from being published, please let me know.

 

POLICY CHANGES 

I reserve the right to update or modify these Studio Policies, at any time and without prior notice.  Policy updates will be updated on a yearly basis and will be communicated via email.
